Returns & Exchanges

We want you to love what you wear. If something isn't right, here's how we'll make it right.

Return window

You have 7 days from the date of delivery to request a return or exchange. After this window, we're unable to accept returns.

What can be returned

We accept returns and exchanges on pieces that are:

  • Unworn, unwashed, and unused
  • In their original condition with all tags attached
  • Free from stains, perfume, makeup marks, or signs of wear

What cannot be returned

  • Pieces from our Final Sale or clearance categories
  • Customised or made-to-measure orders
  • Accessories, pouches, and Bath & Living items (for hygiene reasons)
  • Items returned without tags or in worn condition

How to start a return or exchange

  1. Write to us at hello@akaaystories.com within 7 days of delivery, with your order number and the reason for return.
  2. We'll respond within 24 working hours with next steps and a return address.
  3. Pack the piece in its original packaging with all tags, and ship it back to us via a trackable courier.

Please note: return shipping is to be arranged by the customer. We recommend using a trackable service — we can't be responsible for parcels lost in transit.

Once we receive your return

Our team will inspect the piece within 3–4 working days of receiving it. If everything is in order:

  • Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–7 working days. For COD orders, refunds are made via bank transfer to an account you provide.
  • Exchanges for a different size or piece are dispatched once we receive your return, subject to availability.

Damaged or wrong item received?

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, please write to us within 48 hours of delivery at hello@akaaystories.com with photos of the piece and the packaging. We'll arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

A note on handcrafted pieces

Every Akaay Stories piece is block-printed by hand. Small variations in print placement, colour depth, and finish are part of the process — they're what makes each piece its own. These are not considered defects.
